Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
In that day people will look to their Maker and turn their eyes to the Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah predicted a time when the people of Israel would look toward their Maker. Then he said they would fix their eyes on the Holy One of Israel.
This AM Devo is quite alarming, because this chapter speaks of an event that has not yet happened. The first seven verses of Isaiah 17 talk about two places. One is Damascus and one is Israel. The prophet said a day is coming when the city of Damascus will no longer be a city, but will become a heap of ruins (vs. 1). I challenge you to go online if you can and pull up pictures of Damascus. The surrounding areas look like a bomb explosion, because that’s a result of the ongoing war there right now! Damascus is at least five thousand years old! Yet this prophecy is only now coming to pass. With it, however, includes the destruction of large portions of Israel. This will happen to the point that they will turn to God and He will answer them. Just about the time we think we have it all figured out, a passage of scripture will awaken us from our sleep as if to say, Jesus is coming … “Maybe Sooner Than We Think!” I challenge you this AM, whatever the Lord is speaking to you to do, Do It Now! Time is of the essence. Isaiah 17 could be happening … “Maybe Sooner Than We Think!”
I need You today. As I begin this AM, help me think better. Help me work better. Most of all, help me live better. I need You Now! More Than Ever!! Amen
