Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 146:7,8
He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous.
O-bservation:
King David gives us just a portion of the power of … “The Lord, Our Lord.” He said the Lord gives strength to those who are harassed, feeds the hungry, sets prisoners free, opens blind eyes, and inspires those who are depressed so they feel lifted up. Most of all, He loves those who follow Him.
A-pplication:
How absolutely wonderful is … “The Lord our Lord?” Are you feeling overwhelmed today by obstacles and challenges you’re facing? Our Lord promises to keep you standing and moving forward in the midst of it all. Perhaps you’re not hungry for physical food, but you feel like you’re hungry for something. Our Lord promises to feed you. Are you bound today? Our Lord says to you right now … “I’m going to set you free!” I know people who have 20/20 vision but are blind spiritually. Our Lord promises to open their blinded eyes. So many times I’ve been depressed over circumstances I could not reverse, but in those times Jesus has always lifted me up out of my depression and showed me … “It’s not ‘The Thing,’ it’s how I think about ‘The Thing.’” How can you help but love Him? He is … “Our Lord, The Lord!” He loves us, oh how He loves us.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
You are … “The Lord, My Lord!” This AM I’ll head out to tell everyone I know about You! Amen
