Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Revelation 19:11a
I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True.
O-bservation:
In St. John’s vision of the end of the world and time as we know it, he saw heaven standing open. At the open door of heaven, he saw Jesus, on a white horse, coming to rescue His people on earth. His name is Faithful and True.
A-pplication:
I heard someone say, “We were so poor we heard the wolf knocking at the door, so we opened it and let him out.” There have been times in my life when someone knocking at the door was a serious amen to my family. But, here, in this passage, we are told that as “Followers of Jesus” it will ultimately be He who stands at the door of every alarm in our life to deliver us. We can count on Him because He is called Faithful (not doubtful) and True (not phony.) Don’t be afraid of the knock, because “Look Who’s Standing At The Door.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Thank You that You are Faithful and True in my life today and every day. I know that You will knock when I need You most. Amen
