Justice For All

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Hebrews 1:8

But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.

O-bservation:

The unknown author of the Book of Hebrews recounts the words of the “Almighty” in reference to His Son, Jesus. He said that His throne would last forever, and that JUSTICE would be the rule of His Kingdom.

A-pplication:

Today is the day that my country celebrates her “Independence Day.” On this date in 1776, America became a sovereign nation. The last line of our “Pledge of Allegiance” to the flag is, “With Liberty AND Justice For All!” “Justice For All” has dominated the American news scene in the last several years, more than ever. “Justice for All” is becoming more and more about Justice for specific groups of people. When that happens, Justice becomes something “Most” rarely see, and it sure isn’t “Justice For All.” It’s to the point now where being “Politically Correct” is more important than being “Biblically Correct.” Real “Justice For All” can only happen through Jesus Christ. No manmade Justice and Liberty can ever prevail over the long term. That’s why it was said by the Lord himself, way before America ever became a nation, that only Jesus can provide “Justice For All.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m aware, on this “Day Of Independence,” that there’s a lack of real “Justice” anywhere but with You. Help me to run close to You, that I may help give Your Justice to everyone I meet. Amen
