Jesus: My Sustainer, My Carrier, And My Rescuer

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Isaiah 46:4

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

O-bservation:

Here The Lord reminds us that whatever fear we’re facing, He’s already there. He’s promised to sustain us, carry us, and rescue us.

A-pplication:

Have you ever wondered how you could make it another day? Perhaps the bills were stacking up, the job cut back on your benefits, and your insurance refused to pay that claim. When that kind of scenario has happened to me, I can tell you the Lord has SUSTAINED me. Or maybe during the most difficult season of your life you felt strangely CARRIED through it all. That was Jesus.  What about the time or times your back has been up against the wall and everyone and everything seemed to be coming at you, and that’s when somehow, someway, you were RESCUED! As “Followers of Jesus,” we have come to expect this kind of intervention from Jesus. For sure we can’t just sit back and say, “I don’t know how I got out of that, but that was ‘Another One!’” No!! That was “Jesus: My Sustainer, My Carrier, and My Rescuer!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM I want to acknowledge You as my Sustainer, my Carrier, and my Rescuer. Whenever I sing that song “He’s all I need,” I really am singing about You. Amen
