Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
1 John 1:1
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.
O-bservation:
The Apostle John opened this first of the three letters that bear his name by telling his readers, “I’m Telling You What I Know” about Jesus.
A-pplication:
What the Apostle wanted us to know was that he was giving us a first-hand account. When John talked about Jesus, it was from a personal, hands-on view. The miracles, the teachings, the near escapes, the crucifixion, the resurrection, and the Ascension into heaven. John had witnessed it all. Certainly I am far removed in years, decades, centuries, and a couple of millennia, but I can tell you this: Jesus saved me, healed me, filled me with His Holy Spirit, heard my prayers, answered my prayers, and leads me daily onto new paths of victory. He took my fear away, gave me courage beyond my abilities, and gave me a faith that scares the devil back to hell. I’m not arguing from the sidelines, I’ve been in the game a while now, and what I want you to hear is, “I’m Telling You What I Know.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I just want to praise You, and really, really thank You for Your daily care over my life. It’s not hard for me to testify, because it’s what I know! Amen
