I’m Done With FEAR

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 3:6

I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.

O-bservation:

If you read the entire chapter, you see that David acknowledged the Lord was a shield about him. Whenever he called to the Lord, the Lord would answer him. That’s why David said, “In the worst of times I will not be afraid.”

A-pplication:

Every one of us faces fear. For some, fear is a constant challenge just based upon the kind of work we do. Others are in places of leadership where they’re really vulnerable to all kinds of attack. In fact, sometimes the threat is so insurmountable that the temptation to throw in the towel is ever present. It’s in those times that the “Follower of Jesus” must, like David, remember all the times the Lord has heard their prayer. In my own life, when I begin to rehearse the countless times the Lord has answered me and delivered me, all I can say is “I’m Done With FEAR.” David was so tired of the threat of fear he said, “You can put thousands of assailants around me and I won’t be afraid!” In other words, David was saying, “I’m Done With FEAR.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Because of You, I’m thankful to say this AM … “I’m Done With FEAR.” Amen
