S-cripture:

Psalm 9:18

But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish.

O-bservation:

Kind David had just mentioned that our God is known for His acts of Justice. Then he said, “God will never forget the NEEDY, and the Hope of the AFFLICTED will never die.”

A-pplication:

When have you ever known our great God to allow one of His own to die in DESPAIR? The very nature of God is to promote HOPE in the lives of we, His people. Consider while you’re reading this short thought, do you personally see God as a sovereign who turns a deaf ear to the NEEDY? Of course not! Our God will never forget the NEEDY and He gives Hope to all who are AFFLICTED and call on His name. When any of us feel as though we’re at the end of our rope, our Great God is the one we turn to in our hour of deepest distress. And guess what, our God always comes through! He is the One who gives … “Hope For The NEEDY And AFFLICTED.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

It is my desire to be like You. Help me be the person who gives “Hope to the NEEDY and AFFLICTED!” Amen
