S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 13:6
I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.
O-bservation:
If you read this entire chapter, you will learn of David’s lament over the fact that he is constantly in trouble. He asks the Lord how many more times his enemies will triumph over him. Then he closes out by saying, I’m going to praise the Lord because, “He’s Been Good To Me.”
A-pplication:
Think about it. How many times does David lose a battle in his life? Certainly not very often, but when you look at this chapter you will see it was a war within his mind. Outwardly he was winning regularly, but he was losing the war within. If we’re not careful we can believe a false narrative in our life. The devil wages war in our mind. We must stop right now and say, “Enough of you Satan. I’m done paying attention to the battle you are waging in my mind. I’m going to start to sing praises to Jesus RIGHT NOW.” Why? “He’s Been GOOD To Me!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
No complaints from me this AM. BTW, I’m saying that in faith because I do have thoughts! But one thing I know, “You’ve Been Good To Me! Amen
