Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Genesis 19:32

“Let’s get our father to drink wine and then sleep with him and preserve our family line through our father.”

O-bservation:

Here the writer of Genesis tells the story of Lot’s ending days. He had chosen selfishly throughout his life so that his cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were overrun by homosexual dominance at the end of his life. The men of those cities craved sex with men more than women. When God sent two angels to rescue Lot and his family from their home, on the way out, Lot’s wife disobeyed the instructions from the angels and turned back to look at her burning city. God turned her into a pillar of salt at that moment. Sodom and Gomorrah burned to the ground, and Lot ended up in the mountains with his two daughters. After a while, the two girls began to desire their father sexually. In time, each girl, on successive nights, got him drunk and slept with him. Each conceived of their father, and each gave birth to sons.

A-pplication:

I suppose you could say, “Here’s What’s Left From Sin.”  Can you really imagine letting things get so out of hand in your life that a person’s daughters would want to carry on their family tree by having sexual relations with their own father? But the longer I live, I realize that which is birthed in evil has no limit to what those actions, in turn, can conceive.  “Here’s What’s Left From Sin.” Never underestimate what BAD can do. It takes years to produce righteousness, and sometimes only days to destroy it due to wicked intent. You and I must decide today to let people say of us in time, “Here’s What’s Left Of Righteousness.”

Dear Jesus,

Help me this AM to have a purposeful intent as never before to sow righteousness NO MATTER WHAT! Amen
