Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
2 Chronicles 6:21
Hear the supplications of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven, your dwelling place; and when you hear, forgive.
O-bservation:
When Solomon led the dedicatory prayer in the new temple he had built for the Lord, he asked the Lord to always hear the prayers of His people. Even more than that, Solomon asked the Lord to “Hear And Forgive.”
A-pplication:
Isn’t church always the place where our sins come to light? Face it, that’s why most people don’t go. I mean, when you pull out of bed and get all cleaned up and head to church you’re already beginning to focus on the Lord, way before you even arrive. The more we focus on Jesus the lousier we look. But remember, we’re living in a fallen world and oftentimes we trip and fall ourselves. So yes, when we put ourselves up in the light of Jesus there’s a number of sins revealed. That’s why Solomon said, “Lord when we come into Your house please Hear And Forgive.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I’m thankful this AM that You’re ready, once again, to “Hear And Forgive” my prayers of repentance. Amen
