Establish The Work Of Our Hands

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 90:17

May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands.

O-bservation:

Earlier, King David asked the Lord to teach him to number his days. Because, he said, the average man lives to be 70 or 80 years of age. Consequently, he was asking here for what he had done in this life to be remembered.

A-pplication:

The longer I live the more I’m reminded of the words of the Lord to the original man in scripture, Adam. After he sinned, God told him that he had come from dust and to dust he would return. Every man knows that his days have an expiration date attached to them. If you are like David, it is your desire that never a day will go by that hasn’t been well spent. Even more than that, there comes a cry from our hearts, “Please, Jesus, Establish The Work Of Our Hands!” In other words, Lord, let what I’ve done for You have helped someone even after I’m gone.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

It is my heart’s cry today, like King David, that You would “Establish The Work Of My Hands.” Amen
