Why All The Worry?

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

Psalm 121:8

The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

The Psalmist wanted the people of Israel to have the blessed assurance going forward that God had everything under control as it related to them. He said that God would watch over them in their coming and going both today and every day! It was almost as if the Psalmist was saying, “Why All The Worry?”

Today marks the beginning of the ninth month since our church has met together in the building for Sunday services. We hope to be back in the building with every safety precaution in place on the 22nd of this month. Not only that, but today is the Sunday before the US election for President of the United States. It is fair to say that people are fearful on either side and in the middle, of trouble coming whoever is elected. Yes, it’s been a notorious season in American history. However, we evangelicals believe that the Old Testament Israel is the New Testament Church. The Psalmist, under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, told us that God has us in the palm of His hand. Every move we make, He’ll be watching us. So once again, “Why All The Worry?”

Dear Jesus,

I KNOW You have everything under control. I know You have Your eyes on me. Because of this, I don’t have a worry in the world! My Father has it all under control! Thank You. Amen
