Who Will You Go With?

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Romans 6:13
Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.
O-bservation:
In this chapter of his letter to the Romans, St. Paul asks the question, “Who Are You Going With?” The choices are either that you and I offer ourselves to the enemy and his wicked forces of sin, or we offer ourselves to God and His righteousness. His righteousness is offered to us by His marvelous grace.
A-pplication:
Even though you and I were born into sin as a result of Adam’s sin, we have a choice in the matter because of Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross and His subsequent resurrection from the grave. His grace is a result of His sacrifice on our behalf. That is why it is called “Unmerited Favor.” We didn’t do anything to earn it; instead, He (Jesus) willingly gave Himself as the perfect and spotless Lamb of God for our redemption. Who loves like that? Only Jesus! Because of His “Unusual Love,” you and I have a choice. The question is, “Who Will You Go With?” One choice is the devil and his offering of sin. If we choose the devil’s offer, we choose to continually “miss the mark” in this life and never have a day of fulfillment, ever. If, however, we choose Jesus’ righteousness by way of His grace, we then live a life of purpose and mission. Every day with Jesus truly is sweeter than the day before. So “Who Will You Go With?” I’m going with SWEETER!
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
You truly have made every day of my life sweeter than the day before. I love mission, purpose, and adventure. That’s why, again today, I’m offering my body as an instrument of righteousness to You. Amen
