Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
In this first chapter of the book of Hebrews, the author (no one knows for sure who wrote this book) sets forth the truth that Jesus, the Son of God, is superior to angels. In this the final verse of the chapter, the author said, “The Purpose Of Ministering Angels” is to help lead people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
There have been so many times in my life where I received word that someone who was far from God had come to a saving knowledge of Jesus. When I question the person giving me the news, I always ask, “Who led them to the Lord?” The answer is often, “No one really, they just reported that for a long time they had felt a need to be whole because something was missing in their life, and so they went to church and decided to follow Jesus.” I’ve heard similar stories where the person didn’t go to church, but alone and by themselves, they accepted Christ as Savior. How did this happen? I believe the Father in heaven draws them to Himself. Often, if not every time, this passage says that He does that by using His ministering angels. Have you ever felt a tug at your heart? Or have you ever felt a nudge to do something, and you thought, where did that come from? The answer lies in this passage. “The Purpose Of Ministering Angels” is to tug and nudge people towards the Lord until they are safely in the fold.
I’m so grateful this AM for Your ministering angels. So many times, I have felt their nudge or tug on my heart. Each time I’ve responded, I’ve grown closer to You. Amen
