The Miracle Of Rebirth

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Ezekiel 11:19

I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.

O-bservation:

Few, if any, prophets had more harsh words and prophecies against Israel than Ezekiel.  He continually proclaimed the vengeance of God upon this wayward people. Yet throughout his book of prophecies, over and over, one sees God’s longing to bring them back to their senses. Here he foretells a day where the Lord would give them an undivided heart and turn their hearts of stone to hearts of flesh. That speaks of “The Miracle Of Rebirth.”

A-pplication:

I’ve heard so many times the line that says, “God didn’t come to make bad people good, but rather to make dead people alive!” That’s really what this prophesy is saying. Before hearts die, they first become divided. When one’s heart is going in two different directions, it becomes a killer spiritual heart attack. The heart that was once pumping spiritual life into the whole body has now turned to stone and is lifeless. It’s dead. The Lord’s desire is for every man and woman alive who is battling a stony heart to let Him give them a heart of flesh. In other words, Jesus desires that folks would let Him give them “The Miracle Of Rebirth.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m so very grateful that many years ago I yielded my stony heart to You and you brought it back to life. You gave me a spiritual heart of flesh. With Your help, I’ll stick with life and not death. Amen
