Prescription For Revival: One Heart And One Mind

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

Acts 4:32

All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.

This was the New Testament antidote for everything that came against them. They banded together in the Early Church with their hearts and minds, whether rich or poor or in between. They thought alike, and they loved alike. Because of this formula, the gospel went viral.

Yes it’s true that when everybody thinks alike you can propagate something bad. However, the Early Church not only thought alike they also loved alike. Their hearts had been so melded together in prayer and fasting and studying the Word Of God, that they loved like people were supposed to love. That means their giving was not forced. On one occasion the Apostle Paul wrote, “For Christ’s love compels us” (2 Cor. 5:14). They weren’t driven by dictatorial control; rather they were driven by the love of Jesus. Consequently, miracles were a constant companion to the early Christians. The Bible tells us that revival was a daily happening so that people were turning to Jesus daily. That is what every believer who reads this short devotion this AM is after. If that’s what you desire, then this devo you’ve read is the “Prescription For Revival: One Heart And One Mind.”

Dear Jesus,

Help me lead a New Testament revival where I live. Help me lead with “One Heart And One Mind.” Amen
