Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
St. Paul made this directive to the church at Colossae, but this is a directive for the church for all time. Some things the Apostle spoke of were issues that church was dealing with specifically that in time all churches for all time will deal with. However, this statement was true in a general sense then and now. Here’s what was said in a nutshell, “Pray-Watch-Thank!”
I’m not sure if you’re like me, but sometimes I wonder what I should be doing right now. If you ever wonder that, your answer is right here. Think about it. We all need to PRAY. If when we pray, we can pray with faith that is at least as big as a mustard seed, we can move mountains with our prayers. Here’s another one, WATCH. This has to do with observation and being aware of what’s happening around you. I talk with so many people who appear to be clueless about what’s happening in the world, in their country, in their communities, and culturally as well. They seem to be just completely Out of Touch! The Apostle said watch. Know what’s going on around you. Finally, if you’re wondering what you should do right now, THANK somebody. Be grateful. Go out of your way to let someone know what they mean to you and how grateful you are for them. When you decide to “Pray-Watch-Thank” every day, trust me, you’ll never have to wonder what to do next.
My desire today is to “Pray-Watch-Thank” every day, all day. I know I can with Your help. All I can say is THANK YOU! Amen
