Lord, You Have Done Wonderful Things
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Isaiah 25:1
Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.
O-bservation:
In between all of the prophecies Isaiah made concerning the wrath of God coming on the people of Israel, he paused. And when he paused at the beginning of this chapter, he began in his own words to worship and glorify our great God! He said, “Lord You Have Done Wonderful Things!”
A-pplication:
With the challenges you and I have on a regular basis, it’s easy, if we’re not careful, to stay locked on to all of the bad stuff. Maybe it’s time for a pause. If we could both take a deep breath and sit back and look up to our wonderful Lord and begin to remember all of the wonderful things He has done for us, the pressure will begin to subside this AM. I’m sure of it! Too often we get bogged down in the “weeds of life” and can’t see our way out of trouble. However, when we glorify and worship the Lord, like on the wings of eagles we fly above the fray to the forty-thousand-foot level and have a bigger view of how great our God is. I know this, I want out of the weeds and up to that eagle level of living. It all starts with these words, “Lord, You Have Done Wonderful Things.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I want out of the weeds this AM. I want to soar into the heavens with Your help in order to look down on my challenges. Amen
