Let Jesus Speak To You Today
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Acts 18:9
One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.”
O-bservation:
St. Paul had been through another major battle with Jewish opposition in the Greek city of Corinth. He was so overwhelmed that he decided to leave them and preach only to the Gentiles. Revival broke out among those whom Paul went to and many were being baptized. While Paul was sleeping one night, the Lord appeared to him in a vision and said, “I’m with you, don’t be afraid, keep on preaching.”
A-pplication:
Whether you feel Him or recognize Him or not, Jesus is always with you. Paul was maligned by Jewish opposition, so he went instead to another group of people where he experienced tremendous victory. Then the Lord appeared to Paul in a vision and told him not to give up, not to be afraid, and that He (God) would be with him. Three more times in the book of Acts the Lord spoke to Paul directly concerning what he was to do. Each time Paul obeyed the Lord and good things happened for the man of God. I personally believe each of us must remember that Jesus still speaks to His people in this contemporary time in which we live. You don’t have to be highly recognized to have favor with the Almighty. He is ready to speak to all who call on His name. So please, “Let Jesus Speak To You Today.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I’ve got my ears wide open to You today. Without Your direction I have little hope of success. Speak Lord, I’m listening. Amen
