It’s Time To Sing

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Isaiah 12:5
Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.
O-bservation:
This wonderful command comes after Isaiah had prophesied the coming of Jesus from the root of Jesse in the previous chapter. Before he continued with proclamations against the sins of Israel, he said in chapter 12, “It’s Time To Sing!”
A-pplication:
Isaiah had seen the power of what was coming to the people of God through Jesus, the Root of Jesse, in a heavenly vision. Even though there was tremendous turmoil in the chosen of the Lord at that time, Isaiah was so overjoyed at what he had just prophesied that he talked about singing praise to the Lord for what He had done and to make it known to the nations. There’s an old chorus we used to sing that just said, “When I think about Jesus and what He’s done for me I will clap clap clap clap clap all night, all night!” Then SHOUT, then DANCE, then SING. Those were the verses, and sometimes we’d sing the song for 10 minutes! Why? Because amidst all the challenges you and I may face, we still have Jesus! Because we do “It’s Time To Sing!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Help me keep singing in the fire! Amen
