In The END, It’s Always About Jesus
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Zechariah 12:10
“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.”
O-bservation:
In this passage, God the Father spoke through the prophet Zechariah concerning the second coming of Jesus. The first time Jesus came, He bruised the serpent’s head, as mentioned in Genesis 3:15, and broke the hold Satan had on Jerusalem and the world. The second time He comes, it will be as the conquering warrior king. The spirit of grace will be poured out on Jerusalem, and they will receive Him as the true Messiah. They rejected Him the first time. But the second time He comes, they will weep and mourn the one they pierced long ago. God Himself will see them grieve like He grieved when His one and only Son was crucified by their hands.
A-pplication:
The enemy of our souls, Satan himself, is doing everything he can to make the story about him. But “In The END, It’s Always About Jesus.” Our major concern as His servants is to keep the “Main Thing” the “Main Thing.” In this case, the thing is a person. We must make every narrative begin and end with Jesus. You must stand with me to believe and to say, “I have no real life outside of Jesus. I am a hopeless case outside of Jesus. I would have no meaning without Jesus. My morning, afternoon, and evening are wrapped up in the arms of Jesus. All my dreams, hopes, and visions have been motivated and given by Jesus.” Can you say that? Will you say that? Because whatever the devil promotes as important or noteworthy isn’t noteworthy because, “In The END, It’s Always About Jesus.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM, I am blessed to make YOU the main thing in my life. You are my all in all. Where would I be without Your love and grace in my life? My reason for living is always You! Amen
