He Thinks, He Speaks, It’s Done!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Job 26:7

He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing.

O-bservation:

These were a few of the thoughts Job gave concerning the greatness of our God. The power of our great God is that He originates things out of nothing. To prove this, Job says, “God spreads out the northern skies over empty space and hangs the earth over nothing.”

A-pplication:

How many times have you read the first chapter of Genesis and really thought, “God spoke everything into existence with His words?” Well, it’s true. He knew what human beings would need before he made them or what they needed. Consequently, the Bible says one day, “God created the heavens and the earth.” He spoke these things into existence. He spoke water and light into existence and they happened. I love this passage where Job said, “He spreads out the skies over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing.” Most everyone just kind of reads over that, but today I didn’t. I thought, “How did He do that?” Obviously we’re speaking about God, yet I still thought about that, and as I did here’s what I came up with based on scripture. Every part of the inanimate creation of God was created by Him in this fashion, “He Thinks, He Speaks, It’s Done!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM I didn’t get into the gravitational pull of things, instead I just went for what I believe is the truth about the creation. I’m not arguing length of days or time between days, I’m just thankful that the way things operate from heaven to earth is like this when rendering to You … “He Thinks, He Speaks, It’s Done!” Amen
