God Needs Nothing Made With Human Hands

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Lamentations 2:7
The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has given the walls of her palaces into the hands of the enemy; they have raised a shout in the house of the Lord as on the day of an appointed festival.
O-bservation:
These are the words of Jeremiah, the prophet, probably around 586 BC after the city of Jerusalem had been destroyed by the Babylonians under the rule of King Nebuchadnezzar. He reports on the temple of the Lord, which is in ruins, and the partying of the heathen invaders where there used to be shouts of praise in the house of the Lord.
A-pplication:
This is a difficult story to process because when Judah and Jerusalem were strong, the house of the Lord, made by the HANDS of the people of Israel, was a meeting place of victory. Praises and shouts and worship were offered by the people unto their Lord regularly. However, in time the people of Judah decided they didn’t need a God they couldn’t see, and they desired to be like their heathen counterparts. They began to worship the gods of their wicked neighbors. Of course, those gods of wood and stone could not answer them. God sent prophet after prophet to warn them, but their hearts only grew harder against the Lord. Unfortunately, the Almighty was forced to punish them. He allowed the Babylonians to come in and destroy their hallowed places of worship. While in Babylon, the people of God began to remember how good they’d had it before their rebellion. They were forced to worship the Lord on their own, proving that “God Needs Nothing Made With Human Hands.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I’m blessed to worship and serve You no matter where, when, or how. I realize worship is not about a place; it’s all about the very act. And I’m ready to “act out” my worship to You all day long! Amen

I feel the pain of not having an opened church building, a temple to come to worship
and fellowship! However, in this time that we made an Effort to reach out for the Almighty, God has been closer to us than ever before. He has revealed His plan and had allowed us to use new tools to see Him and share our faith. Thank you Pastor Rich for being a conduct of His light!
