God Alone Knows The Human Heart

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

2 Chronicles 6:30

Then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. Forgive, and deal with everyone according to all they do, since you know their hearts (for you alone know the human heart).

In dedicating the new temple that Solomon had overseen for seven years, he prayed to the Lord to bring his forgiveness to everyone who calls on the name of the Lord. He asked the Lord to deal with everyone according to what they do. Then he said, because “you alone know the human heart.”

I love this entire prayer of dedication that Solomon prayed to the Lord. Surely Solomon never dreamed that one day that temple would be destroyed. But at that time the very idea was far from any of the minds of these wonderful people. Yet there came the point when the people forgot who had blessed them with such favor. One day it all came tumbling down on the people of Israel. But it didn’t happen all at once. That kind of a fall happens one heart at a time. To be honest, the very man who prayed this prayer of dedication began to stray from his original commitment. God knew it, and so did Solomon. After that, as I said, it happened one heart at a time. And God knew every heart. Today lets you and I recommit to the Lord our original promise from when we were first saved: to be “All In” with Him. Because “God Alone Knows The Human Heart.”

Dear Jesus,

This AM I recommit my all to You. I know that You know my heart. It is my desire to be “All In” to the end. Amen
