Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.
The writer of this wonderful passage had felt hemmed in. He had believed himself to be facing his personal end. Yet it was his own belief that the Lord had stepped in and delivered him from certain destruction. Because of this, he said, “I will not die but live.” Whatever had oppressed him, he decided that he would “Choose Life.”
So much of our daily ups and downs are centered around our personal choices. We must always be ready to Choose Life in every challenge. How many times have you been in a place where you felt hemmed in, and there was no way out? For me, there have been way too many times like that in my life to count. But eventually, we must Choose Life. I talk to folks fairly regularly who are facing real trouble. I can almost tell before I’m five minutes into the discussion how this will end. Why? Because after living for a while, we folks develop a history of how we respond to challenge. Some are destined for a lousy outcome just because of their historical choices in the midst of trouble. BUT we can change with God’s help. Don’t give up today, instead, Choose Life.
Once again today, with Your help, I Choose Life! Amen
