Blessings And Prosperity

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

Psalm 128:1-2

Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.

These two verses are so tied to each other that they had to be posted together. The Psalmist writes that “Blessings and Prosperity” will come to those who fear the Lord and walk in obedience to Him.

I often hear some people voice their personal disgust with prosperity preaching. Here’s a thought, can those same people decide to just stand soundly against Biblical teaching? Because here the greatest King who ever lived, David, says that “Blessings and Prosperity” will come to people who fear the Lord and obey Him. You almost have to ask some folks if they’d rather be poor and downtrodden or “Blessed and Prosperous.” I mean seriously, if you really had a choice what would you choose? Because the Bible teaches that if we will “Fear the Lord and Obey Him,” we can’t escape from “Blessings and Prosperity.” I’m not fearing the Lord and obeying Him to get “Blessings and Prosperity,” I’m fearing the Lord and obeying Him because He commands me to do it. And the harvest is amazing when I do. The “Blessings and Prosperity” just keeps coming.

Dear Jesus,

I’m old enough now to have proven this passage to be true. And … I know You’re not playing favorites here. In other words, if it works for me I know it will work for my friend who is reading this. Amen
