Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
The word of the Lord came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, by the Kebar River in the land of the Babylonians. There the hand of the Lord was on him.
These are words of introduction to the book of Ezekiel. It tells us that Ezekiel was a priest, who his father was, and the fact that he was in Babylon at the time of the Jewish exile there. He was a prophet to the people of Israel, and the most important part of this introduction is the fact that the hand of the Lord was on him.
I’m sure the fact that I’m in the work of the ministry impacts the fact that I love this little-used verse. So many of my long time friends across my country and around the world often speak to me about the hand of the Lord being on us. It’s obvious to us when we feel the hand of the Lord on us, and also when we’re not sure if the hand of the Lord is on us. What’s important is whether or not the hand of the Lord is on you. You don’t have to be in professional ministry to be a servant of the Lord and be “IN THE MINISTRY” of service to others. Only you can answer whether or not you believe God’s hand is on your life and work. Here’s what I can tell you. I can do anything the Lord asks me to do, “As Long As The Hand Of The Lord Is On Me.”
I’m always in need of Your hand on my life and work. Your hand on me is an affirmation that I am in Your perfect will. That is the longing of my heart. Amen
