ARMAGEDDON
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Revelation 16:16
Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.
O-bservation:
The whole of Revelation sixteen discusses the seven bowls of God’s wrath during the seven-year tribulation that “John the Revelator” saw in his vision. The last bowl begins with what the world has been looking to with great trepidation for over 2,000 years. The battle known as “ARMAGEDDON.”
A-pplication:
On this day in 2001, America was attacked by terrorists who commandeered four stolen commercial airliners and brought destruction like few had ever witnessed before on live television. For about twenty-four hours the world wondered if this was ARMAGEDDON. It will forever be memorialized as “9-11.” However, one day in the future there is indeed coming an actual physical warfare like the world has never witnessed called ARMAGEDDON. Toward the end of that sovereign-God-ordained physical battle Jesus, the King of Kings, will return on a white horse with the armies of heaven and smash the Anti-Christ once and for all. I know people don’t like to talk about it, but the New Testament talks about one last great battle that ushers in a new heaven and a new earth. By the way, for those who don’t know the final outcome, “Jesus Wins.” So today be aware that ARMAGEDDON is out there, but Jesus has you covered.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Because of You I have no fear whatsoever of ARMAGEDDON. Yet I have many friends who need to know how all of this fits together. Help me be a witness before ARMAGEDDON happens. Amen

As a New Yorker this day really hits home. This is also the first 9-11 that also falls on a Tuesday since the tragedy struck. We kost many friends in the attack by radical Islam extremists and many families will never get over going on without mother’s, father’s, sister’s and brothers. But despite all the pain due to men making warped choices, God is greater still. His comfort in this pain-filled event is the same love and goodness that comforted Jesus as He walked this earth. Oh how we need Jesus, oh how we need Jesus. And in His response He says “I will never leave you nor forsake you. Despite what men might do, God is greater still and will have the last word. May Abba comfort all your hearts today. Love, Pastor Rex
