Psalm 34:19 The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.O-bservation:
The Great Psalmist David said, "For those who wholeheartedly follow the Lord, even they will still have many troubles in this life just like everyone else does." But here's the difference, for those who "Follow Jesus Wholeheartedly," Jesus himself will deliver those people from ALL their TROUBLES!A-pplication:
If you are a "Follower of Jesus," I challenge you to never say this line ... "There's NO Way Out!" Or here's another one ... "I Guess It's Over For Me." Both of those statements are common for people to think and say ... But for the "Follower of Jesus" they just aren't true! Jesus makes "All Trouble" for His people be "All Gone!" That's what He does. When Jesus healed Blind Bartimaeus, where did his blindness go? It was ... "All Gone!" How about the woman with the "Issue Of Blood?" Where did that problem go when Jesus healed her? "All Gone!" What about Lazarus, when he was dead in the tomb for four days and Jesus came and raised him from the dead, where did death go? "All Gone!" What about you? You are a "Follower of Jesus;" it's not over for you. In fact, just the opposite is true. That money issue you're faced with, the relationship issue, the sickness, I'm telling you ... In Jesus name it will be "ALL GONE!"P-rayer:
Dear Jesus, Most of all, today I am thankful that when You saved me You made my sins be "All Gone!" Because of that, I can trust You with the rest! Amen

1 Chronicles 7:40a All these were descendants of Asher—heads of families, choice men, brave warriors and outstanding leaders.O-bservation:
The Prophet Ezra is the writer of this book, and in recounting the Tribe of Asher he lists 4 qualities that the world is looking for in men today. The qualities of the "Men of Asher" were as follows: Patriarchal, the Best of the Best, Brave Warriors, and Outstanding Leaders.A-pplication:
How does a family turn out so well? We know that Asher was the 8th son of Jacob, somewhere around 1920 (something) BC. We know Ezra wrote the first book of the Chronicles around 450 (something) BC. The name "Asher" means "HAPPY." We don't know why Jacob named his 8th son "HAPPY," after all he was the child of one of Jacob’s wives' handmaidens, Zilpah. But when he was born his Father said, “I'll name him ‘HAPPY!’" I know this ... good things come to HAPPY people. Just before Jacob died, he blessed his son Asher and said that he would be blessed with abundance and food befitting a King. Just before Moses died, he said that the tribe of Asher would be blessed with Prosperity. It's obvious that this man in history lived "HAPPY," and that way of approaching life produced men the world still longs for today! Here's the moral of the story ... "Happy DAD, Happy Family!"P-rayer:
Dear Jesus, Thank You that You give all who ask You, the "Joy of the Lord." Thank You today that You gave me a "Happy Family." Amen

1 Samuel 18:9 And from that time on Saul kept a close eye on David.O-bservation:
This statement was made after David, King Saul's young warrior, was being lauded as the one who killed his "Tens of Thousands," while Saul, the King, only killed his "Thousands." Consequently, King Saul was left in a place of insecurity.A-pplication:
The truth is that Saul waited TOO long to start watching out for potential successors who would try to supplant him. It started way back when King Saul had gotten into a pattern of disobeying God. I suppose you could say he was just lazy in doing the "Will of God," or half-hearted in following through with "God's Commands." He was a man who often took the easy way out vs. the more difficult way out. He was especially concerned about whether he looked good in the process. When self-promotion, self-sufficiency, and self-service become one's sole purpose, it puts that person way behind on God's timetable for Success and a Blessed Legacy. King Saul lived for the moment. His questions may have been something like this: "How do I look right now? What do people think of me right now?" His failure to produce a future vision for Israel was his demise. "Heavenly Vision" takes one's eyes off of oneself and puts them on people and the "Means" to help others. "Heavenly Vision" will help you to … "Always Stay Ahead Of The Game."P-rayer:
Dear Jesus, I asked today that my eyes would be lifted off of me and on to the future. Help me get my eyes on Your "Harvest Field," and just let me be one of Your workers please. Amen
