Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 44:6
I put no trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory.
O-bservation:
King David, one of the mightiest and most valiant warriors in history, made an unusual statement. He said “I don’t trust my bow, and my sword has never brought me a victory.” That’s an amazing statement since few people have been better in battle with a bow or sword than David. EVER!!
A-pplication:
If anybody thinks the United States of America is the first to decide on “In GOD We Trust” as a national banner, think again. Long before the USA was discovered, King David’s entire existence was promoting “In GOD We Trust.” Faith is the first decision when it comes to being a committed “Follower of Jesus,” but immediately thereafter is the issue of Trust. Many have initially followed Jesus in Faith, only to trust in a myriad of other human solutions to daily problems. To really “Trust In God” on a moment by moment basis is ones proof of Faith. If you’re ever questioned about it in the future, simply say, “In GOD We Trust!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
It is my desire to Trust You in every decision I make on this side of heaven. Help me prove by my Trust in You that I’m full of Faith. Amen
