Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
John 12:27
Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? “Father, save me from this hour?” No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour.
O-bservation:
Jesus was facing the cross in a few days. The more He thought about it, the more troubled He became. He asked Himself the question, “Should I ask my Father to get me out of it?” Then He determined, “NO, this is the reason why I came!”
A-pplication:
All of us have a mission. The mission usually comes with a terror, or dread, or some kind of a gnawing fear attached to it. But it’s the mission that brings us the victory we’re all in pursuit of. You can’t win without some kind of fight. For some, it’s a minor skirmish, for others it’s an all out war. The very thing we dread is the very thing we need for fulfillment in life, and the words “Well done, good and faithful friend.” It’s a simple lesson to hear, and an almost impossible lesson to accomplish, and here it is: When your heart is pounding out of your chest because the mission is knocking on your door … “Press Through!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM, I’m remembering the toughest things You ever asked me to do are the very things that have brought me my greatest joys. What’s next? I’m ready!! Amen
