Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Romans 5:19
For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
O-bservation:
St. Paul demonstrates the difference between the two well-known Adams in the Bible. Of course the first man ever created on earth was named Adam. It was through the first Adam that sin entered the world and caused every human who came after him to be born a sinner. The second Adam was Jesus. Through Jesus every man has the potential to be freed from sin.
A-pplication:
“Followers of Jesus” know that freedom from sin comes through the sacrifice of Jesus’ death on the cross. And yet instead of accepting Jesus by faith, many people continue to hold on to sin and all of its consequences. Think about the person bound by a life-controlling addiction. Jesus has the power to set that person free! How about the person in an abusive relationship? Jesus can set that person free, as well as their abuser. However, many people CHOOSE to just keep on going like nothing ever happened. Here’s what I say … “NO! You don’t have to live with addictions!” Or … “NO, you can walk away from that ABUSER and the ABUSER can walk away from their abuse by the power of Jesus. Just knowing that I have a choice in the matter is liberating. That’s why … “I’ll Go With Jesus!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
As always, I choose you again this AM my Lord. Your constant care of my life makes me know that there’s nothing too difficult for You! Amen

Rich as Adam sinned we sin. Our sin causes grief to our spouse, children and friends. Through a broken heart God takes that sin and brings us closer to Him and those we hurt. Be broken, humble and we can live a full life in Christ.
