Fight For OUR People

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

1 Chronicles 19:13

Be strong, and let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. The Lord will do what is good in his sight.

O-bservation:

Israel’s army was surrounded by enemy forces. These are the words of Joab, King David’s top general, in the passage mentioned above. He was speaking to his brother Abishai, another Israeli general, and said to him, “You attack the Ammonites with your men and I’ll attack the Arameans with my men. We’ll fight for our people and cities, and then we’ll let God decide the outcome.” Thankfully, God gave these brothers and the Armies of Israel the victory.

A-pplication:

In any society, and in any generation, we who follow Christ must “Fight For OUR People.” Whether it’s to help one another be better equipped to promote the “Good News,” or to stand the “high ground” morally, legally, and ethically, we must … “Fight For OUR People!” More and more we see the side of RIGHTEOUSNESS caving in to political persuasion, and the institutes of higher learning making a mockery of the things of God and the very idea of GOD Himself. It’s time we stand back to back with each other and say, “You take that enemy on and we will take this enemy on and together we will … “Fight For OUR People!” In the end, we will leave it up to God to decide the outcome. But fight, we must.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM I feel like I’ve had my spiritual weapons of warfare in storage for too long. I’m convicted by this word that it’s high time to “Fight For OUR People!” Help me Jesus. Amen
