You’re NOT Old!
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Exodus 7:6-7
Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord commanded them. Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh.
O-bservation:
God could have called these two blood brothers to rescue Israel out of Egypt’s bondage any time before this time. However, like a fine stew that tastes better after it simmers and marinates, the Lord felt like Moses and Aaron needed some more marinating. He called them out at eighty and eighty-three respectfully.
A-pplication:
I’ve traveled the parts of the world that include the parts Moses and Aaron traversed for forty years. The sheer intensity of the ground, both desert-like and mountainous in some regions and large sandy flatlands with burning heat during the day and cold weather at night should have destroyed these two old men over a forty-year period of time. Included in this equation would be the negativism of the Israeli people during their long sojourn. This was true so that anyone who was over 20 when they left Egypt perished in the wilderness before they reached the Promised Land, save for Joshua and Caleb. But even though Moses and Aaron perished in the wilderness, they lived through nearly the entire forty years strong and vibrant with full mental capabilities. I just want to say this to a few who are reading this AM! “You’re NOT Old!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Help the friend that has been saying “I’m too old” to recalibrate this AM. May they instead say, “With God’s help I’m going to live full throttle until I die! Just like Moses and Aaron.” Amen

Today is my birthday. As the title of this devotional says: I AM NOT OLD! With God’s help, I will live with all my vigor until I die! Just like Moses and Aaron! Thank you, Pastor Rich for this word this morning .
