Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Revelation 3:8
I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
O-bservation:
John the Evangelist writes to the church at Philadelphia (in Asia Minor) while on the Isle of Patmos. He says, “You have little strength left, YET you kept God’s Word and have not denied the faith.
A-pplication:
Usually when we’re pressed to our limits like the Church at Philadelphia had been, we’re told of all our weaknesses and failures and what we should have done in the process. That’s not the way our God approaches us. Yes, He may report to us concerning our failures, but then He always includes a “YET” somewhere in there! Thank God! Here Jesus says to the Church at Philadelphia, “YET,” or in spite of all the strife you’ve been through, “YOU have kept my WORD and NOT denied the FAITH.” This short devo this AM is to you who feel you can’t go another step. God knows all about it, “YET” He knows of your faithfulness and will see you through to victory!
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I knew this AM that I would find my help and strength in Your promise, one more time. Amen
