Who Am I?

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Exodus 3:11
But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
O-bservation:
At the age of 80, after having been a shepherd for his father-in-law’s flocks, one day Moses saw a burning bush that was on fire but didn’t burn. As he approached the burning bush, the voice of God spoke to Moses and told him to go to Pharaoh of Egypt and demand the Children of Israel be released. Moses’ immediate response to God’s command was, “Who Am I?”
A-pplication:
Have you ever just felt inadequate? That was certainly Moses’ reaction to the Lord’s directive. The Lord had said “I want you, 80-year-old Moses, to leave your father-in-law’s sheep and go set the people of Israel free from Egypt’s bondage of 400 years!” Be serious, wouldn’t you have said the exact same thing as Moses? My head would have been spinning with the thought of, “You Talkin’ To ME?” But here’s the truth, all of us at one time or another have had something laid on us that was over our heads. The first thought is … “But, Who Am I?” God never asks us or leads us to do something that He doesn’t also equip us to handle the daunting task. Someone once said, where God guides, He provides. So whatever it is that feels like you’re in way over your head, don’t be afraid to say “Who Am I?” Because with such a humble attitude you’re the perfect choice made by the Lord Himself.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
So many times in my life I’ve had this same thought, “Who Am I?” Yet each and every time You’ve seen me through. I trust You Lord. Whatever You ask, I’m in. Amen
