When You Give The Tithe You Can Ask For Your Blessing

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

Deuteronomy 26:15

Look down from heaven, your holy dwelling place, and bless your people Israel and the land you have given us as you promised on oath to our ancestors, a land flowing with milk and honey.

The bulk of this chapter has Moses telling the people to be faithful with the first fruit of their land. Both as individual families, and then as a nation. Moses let them know that “When You Give The Tithe You Can Ask For Your Blessing.”

Blessing always follows obedience. I just don’t know many, if any, “Followers Of Jesus” who are faithful with their tithe who are hurting on a regular basis. We all go through stuff, but “The Generous” seem to get over things quicker than the next person. Givers tend to have a positive attitude toward the Lord and His kingdom. That’s why Moses stipulated to the people, “after you’ve given and done what God has asked, then YOU can now ask Him to bless You!” We all get the blessing of the sun rising on us. Eventually it will rain on all of us, and with hard work we can all be blessed with food. However, that thirty, sixty, and hundredfold blessing back to us requires a more specific seed being planted. That’s called giving God back His tithe, and in so doing you acknowledge that He is Lord. Then the blessings begin to roll. You can reject this, but I’m telling you that’s how it works. That’s my testimony!

Dear Jesus,

Thank You Lord for blessing my family and me. It’s been our honor to serve You with our First Fruits! Amen
