Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
Also put the Urim and the Thummim in the breastpiece, so they may be over Aaron’s heart whenever he enters the presence of the Lord. Thus Aaron will always bear the means of making decisions for the Israelites over his heart before the Lord.
The Urim and Thummim were means by which the high priest of Israel could make decisions in accordance with God’s will. They were worn inside the garments of the priest and over his heart. Some say they could be described as “Holy Dice” that were thrown. Others say they each stood for something, and the way they were pulled out of the priest’s breastpiece determined the guilt or innocence of the person being judged. Either way, they were kept close to the priest’s heart.
It all boils down to a simple question this AM. “What’s On Your Heart?” I’m sure it’s not the Urim and Thummim, but what is it that helps you determine the will of God in matters? King David said that he kept God’s Word hidden in his heart in order to make the right decisions. That’s what I endeavor to do as well. But only you can determine, “What’s On Your Heart.”
This AM I am once again hiding Your Word on my heart. I know that if I have Your Word I won’t need “Holy Dice.” Amen
