What The Flesh Can’t Do, The Spirit Can

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Judges 11:29a

Then the Spirit of the Lord came on Jephthah.

O-bservation:

Jephthah was a mighty warrior, but because he was the son of Gilead and his prostitute, his half-brothers threw him out of the house. Years passed, and his brothers came to him to lead the people of Gilead against their oppressors, the Ammonites. Jephthah agreed to help them. They were definitely outmanned, but the Bible says, “Then Spirit of the Lord came on Jephthah.” When that happened, the Ammonites were defeated.

A-pplication:

So often we decide to go with the numbers, when all along the Lord wants to put the Spirit’s anointing on us. Whenever God anoints His people with the power of the Holy Spirit, it doesn’t matter who’s against us, we will overcome. Think of the times in Scripture when the Spirit of the Lord came upon someone. Immediately there was a victorious turn around. Before you say, “that could never happen to me,” how then is it possible that you’re still here? Think about it. There have been times when the Spirit came on us that we don’t always acknowledge, but He did. The truth is, “What The Flesh Can’t Do, The Spirit Can.” Ask the Lord today to touch you by the power of His Spirit.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

On this beautiful morning, I ask You to touch me with Your precious Holy Spirit. I know it’s true, “What The Flesh Can’t Do, The Spirit Can.” Amen

  1. I pray that the power of the Holy Spirit may be given to me even that I am simple and unworthy. Jesus’ resurrection power will be accorded to me as I receive it by faith. Amen!
