Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools.
The wise man made it clear in this passage that the quiet words of a wise person are so much better than a loud mouth who screams at his or her foolish followers.
How many loud mouths have you run into in your lifetime? I must admit, I’ve known a few that thankfully I walked away from through the years. Every time I hear a loud mouth today I’m reminded of Biff in “Back To The Future.” He certainly is reminiscent of Solomon’s words inasmuch as he was surrounded by others more foolish than he. On the other hand, think of the aging man or woman full of wisdom whose followers seek what the quiet one has to say. You don’t have to be a loud mouth to get people’s attention. Instead seek the Lord. He will be found by you, and when He is He will impart the wisdom you need. Remember that when you see a gathering a fools someone is definitely at the center of them, because that’s “What A Loud Mouth Proves.”
I ask for Your wisdom this AM. That way I can go about my business in a quiet fashion. Amen
