We Do It For Our KING

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

Matthew 25:40

The King will reply, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Here Jesus gives the story of the final judgement, when men and women stand before God. Those who have received Christ and therefore His grace they will be accepted into the Beloved, because even when they did not know they were doing it for the Lord, when they helped the lowliest of individuals they certainly were.

All “Followers Of Jesus” should live with this maxim in life, “We Do It For Our KING!” The people spoken of here by our Lord were shocked when they found out that they had been accepted into eternal life by the Father. They said, “But when did we see You hungry and feed You, and thirsty and give You drink, and a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You, or sick or in prison and visit You? Jesus said, “Because you did it for the least of these, you did it for ME.” That’s why everything we do we should do it all for Jesus. Now, we’re not doing good to score points with Jesus, we’re good because we are tiny (in every way) replicas of Jesus right here on earth. That’s what Jesus did, so that’s what we do. “We Do It For Our KING!”

Dear Jesus,

Because of Your grace I will endeavor to do good all day today! And when I do, “I’ll Be Doing It For My KING!” Amen

  1. When Jesus finished feeding the 5,000 people with fish and bread he sat upon a rock to rest. Some children ran over to him to sit and talk with him. The disciples said that leave Jesus to rest alone for a moment and Jesus replied let the children come unto me freely. Some times when we are big wigs or important leader we forget who we represent, Jesus, so let’s try to be more loving like Jesus. I love today’s scripture and notes Pastor.
