Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
1 Peter 1:25
BUT the word of the Lord endures forever.
The Apostle Peter, one of Jesus’ top three disciples while He walked on earth, had just discussed what is temporary in this life. Then he said, “BUT the word of the Lord endures forever.”
I have a couple of old cars. I’m giving them away as I write. When I first got them (USED, my favorite kind) I rejoiced. I was excited. But through the years, now nine as I write, the fun has worn off. I’m now happy for someone else to pay repair bills. What in your life has worn thin with you. Better yet, what is worn out and over that once had a new luster to it? Everything of this world will in time wear out and living things will die. There’s no getting over that forever truth. Yet here in this passage St. Peter said the Word of God will endure FOREVER. Write out everything you know that has worn out or died, then include the word “BUT” in the sentence and say, “The Word of the Lord endures forever!” That’s why I want you to know this AM, “THIS but’s FOR YOU!”
This AM, I’m thankful that after the stuff I’ve appreciated of an earthly nature in this life has either worn out or died, Your WORD endures forever! Amen
