The Lord Was With Him

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Genesis 39:2

The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master.

O-bservation:

Here is the story of Joseph, the son of Jacob, who was sold into slavery by his brothers. He was taken to Egypt by traders who had purchased him, and once there, he was sold to Potiphar, a high ranking official in the Egyptian army. As frightening as this was, the scripture tells us, “The Lord Was With Him.”

A-pplication:

While reading this line this AM concerning God’s presence with Joseph during his ordeal, I thought of all the ordeals I’ve been through during my journey here on earth. I can honestly say that the ONE constant in my life has been, “The Lord Was With Me.” Another consideration is that everywhere Joseph went, the people he was with were blessed because “The Lord Was With Him.” It’s imperative that all of us who live for Jesus realize that because Jesus is with us, those who connect with us will also be blessed. Why? Because the Lord is with us! This word this AM should send you from your home with joy and gladness, knowing that someone will be blessed today just because they connected with YOU!

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Sometimes I forget that because I’m a “Follower of Jesus,” Your Spirit is going to move from me onto others today, and they will be blessed. Help me know that because “The Lord Is With Me,” others will be happy to connect with me. Amen
