The Lord Is Good
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
1 Peter 2:3
Now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.
O-bservation:
In his letter to the church, St. Peter talks to all of us about getting rid of everything that is impure in our lives. Impurities break us down, and it’s important that we rid ourselves of such things. He then said, like newborn babies begin to CRAVE spiritual milk so that they can grow, we will also crave the same thing because we’ve tasted that “The Lord Is Good!”
A-pplication:
I’m not sure if you’re like me, but when I taste something I really like I kind of begin to really want it. There was a time in my life when I was filled with impurities like the Apostle Peter speaks of in this passage. I craved them, not really understanding that they were in effect destroying my life. Then I let Jesus take control of me. Slowly the impurities of sin began to leave me, and I came to a point that I couldn’t get enough of Jesus, and I still can’t. Why? Because I’ve tasted and realized that the nourishment I receive from a life lived in Christ has become my craving. Like me, I want everyone to know “The Lord Is Good!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM I am impressed that every day my relationship with you is what drives me in everything I do. I crave more of You. I’ve learned You Are Good, All The Time. Amen
