Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

Isaiah 42:9

See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.

The Lord, through the prophet Isaiah, commanded His people Israel to cease from living in the past and to trust Him fully, because He was about to do a new thing in their midst.

Jesus is always ready to do a NEW THING in each and every one of us on a regular basis. In the midst of really bad times, get ready for an open door because something NEW is about to present itself to you. The challenge will always be to let go of the hurt, the pain, the rejection, and the bad thing that happened to you, because it’s all been a test to get you ready for the NEW and wonderful thing. But there’s the very real and easy opportunity to stay stuck in the past because as bad as it’s been, it’s what you’ve known. You can go back to it, rehearse it, rehash it, and cry about it, but as long as you do you’ll miss the NEW THING. This AM, instead of holding on to the old thing, “Take The New Thing!”

Dear Jesus,

I’m going to let the “Old Thing” go today! I’ve been holding on to it for too long, and it’s keeping me from the “New Thing” you’ve got lined up for me. I’m ready! Amen
