Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
Be careful not to neglect the Levites as long as you live in your land.
As the children of Israel were preparing to move into the promised land, Moses rehearsed with them once again what to expect and what they should be prepared to do in the future. One of the things Moses insisted on was that the people would never forget to provide for the tribe of the Levites. The Levites were the ministry tribe of Israel. They were to be provided for in every way by the other eleven tribes. If Moses were to speak to Christians today worldwide, he would be quick to say, “Take Care Of Your Pastors.”
Christian Pastors the world over are like the Levites of old. They take care of the house of the Lord and all things spiritual in the lives of their followers. As you know, we all must take responsibility for our actions, but we do need spiritual leadership and assistance. That’s where the Pastor is so important. Some churches are so large that they have a number of Pastors on their ministry staff. Others are so small that there is only one. Yet a pastor is a pastor and needs care as well. Their physical needs, as in financial support, is a MUST. But taking the time to send a kind word is encouraging. Also, a note or an email to let them know that you are praying for them today is another way to follow the commands of our Lord. Whatever else you do this week, remember to “Take Care Of Your Pastors.”
This AM I am so grateful for Pastors. Not only in my church, but in the world over. I ask that you shelter them today and hold them up with your strong arms of love. Amen
