SURROUNDED

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 125:2

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore.

O-bservation:

Jerusalem is situated on a hill. And when you drive to Jerusalem, you literally are driving UP to Jerusalem. It is also SURROUNDED by mountainous terrain. So, King David used it as a metaphor to explain that God surrounds His people just like the mountains surround Jerusalem. The mountains protect Jerusalem from enemy advancement, and the Lord surrounds His people from the same.

A-pplication:

Always remember that as a child of the Almighty, the scripture promises you are SURROUNDED by the Lord at all times. No matter the trials you are convinced you’re facing, you’re still SURROUNDED. What is that trial today? Is it a marriage gone sideways? Is it a child who is in trouble? Is it a business dealing that did not pay what was promised? Does it have to do with a family matter that seems unapproachable? Whatever you are faced with before you make another move or ask God why first remember that the Almighty surrounds you. He doesn’t only have your back; He’s got those who are coming at you and from either side. So today, whatever it is, because the King of Kings surrounds you, don’t lose heart because the battle is the Lord’s.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

In some ways, this AM with everything coming at me, I have to breathe a sigh of relief because until I read the scripture, I almost forgot I’m SURROUNDED. Amen
