Still Do It, But With The Right HEART!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

1 Corinthians 5:8

Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

St. Paul likens sin to leavened bread, and sincerity and truth he likens to unleavened bread. He insists that the law should be our practice but not with lousy, sinful hearts. Rather, as we pursue right living, we as New Testament believers must “Still Do It, But With The Right HEART!”

As a “Follower Of Jesus,” have you ever felt like you were just going through the motions? I know there have been times when I was just living out of rote memory as to what I had been TRAINED to do. When your faith turns to sheer robot-like action and response, instead of a sense of moral purity and righteousness that comes from the realization of what Jesus has done for you, then there comes a need for personal REVIVAL! That action that comes from the heart is recognized by others. It’s not forced, it’s freely given because of our love for Jesus. Christian faith is not about rules, it’s about relationship. When you know the Lord, even though sometimes what the Word Of God requires seems difficult, “You Still Do It, But With The Right HEART!”

Dear Jesus,

This AM I want to serve You not because it’s forced on me, but because I know all You’ve done for me. I know Your desire to have a relationship with not only me, but everyone. Help me to show my love at all times from the HEART! Amen

  1. I almost allowed my flesh to tell me not come to prayer today, but as your message read, « Rehearse What You Believe », I had to rehearse what I believe by telling my flesh that I will be going to prayer, and that my problems has been takened care of by God. Thank You, once again for a life filled Word….
