Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
One Sabbath, when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee, he was being carefully watched.
Other than the Roman Emperor or some prominent Roman Governors who ruled the world at this time, prominent Pharisees and Chief Priests were the Jewish rulers of their day. For Jesus to go to the house of a prominent Pharisee, as in this case, eyes were definitely on the Lord.
To be honest, because of Jesus’ amazing teaching and miraculous wonders He was always in the news. However, that doesn’t lessen the fact that “Someone Is Always Watching You.” That’s where the challenge lies. Since we are called to be witnesses of Jesus and of our faith in Him, people are always watching to see if we are who we say we are. I know it doesn’t seem fair, but some people make their decision to follow Christ not so much because of what we say, but rather because of what they see us do. Paul the Apostle warns us not to be stumbling blocks to those who want to see people live what they say they are as “Jesus People.” We do not always consider the fact that sometimes people want to see more than they want to hear. Are you ready to live the gospel? Because “Someone Is Always Watching You.”
I want to be a Christian in my words and in my actions. This AM my prayer is, “Help me remember that someone is always watching me.” Amen
